I originally put this as 4 stars, but after rereading it I have decided it deserves 5 stars instead!

This book in the Psy-Changeling series focuses on the Senital Vaughn, a Changeling whose Jaguar lives closer to the surface then most, and Faith Nightstar an F-Psy, which is a Psy that can forecast the future. Faith only forecasts about business and commerce all other events being suppressed by the Silence protocol, murder and death, fear and anger are not allowed by the Psy. But recently she has been having a horrible nightmare involving blood, death and sick excitement, a nightmare that she realizes has come true. Unsure of what to do and who to turn to as the shields she uses to protect herself start to crack and emotions trickle into her, she goes to the only Psy that has ever broke from the PsyNet, Sascha Duncan.

What another great book! This book gripped from the start. I really liked Faith, she was brave and strong facing the worst aspect of emotions when she has never felt emotion before. And Vaughn well he was just hot. All possessive, growly and very tactile. There was something darker about Vaughn then there was about Lucas (the hero from the first book) but that only added to his appeal, especially when has acted tenderly towards Faith.

On the heat scale of this book, this was alot hotter then the first book. The build up of heat and intensity between Faith and Vaughn was just as good as when they actually got down and dirty! I have discovered that Nalini Singh is a master at building up sexual chemistry. When Vaughn was imagining when he wanted to do to Faith, I swear I was a puddle on the floor!

But aside from the romance, I liked the way Singh has developed the over arching plot about the Silence protocol and the NetMind. This book shows you more of how Psy society works and reveals just how atrocious the Council really is. I really can't wait to see what happens and I am reading these just as much to see how they defeat Silence as to see the next romance.

If you haven't read thses yet I highly recommend starting them, they just get better. ...more

What a fabulous book!!! Loved Vaughn and Faith, can't wait to get to Judd and Brenna's story! Thank goodness I already have it! I'm going to have to order the rest of the series SOON!!!! Love it! ...more

In this book we get to know Vaughn deeply. He made an appearance in 'Slave to Sensation' as he's is Lucas' sentinel and closest friend. He's also the only Jaguar in a Leopard pack. After reading 'S to S' I had fallen in love with Lucas, now after finishing this book I'm in love with Vaughn to. Now I can't wait to read Clay and Dorians books..... They better have books. ...more
