Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh is the second book in her Psy-Changeling series. This book focuses on the powerful F-Psy Faith Nightstar and her DarkRiver jaguar Vaughn D’Angelo.
Faith Nightstar is a special Psy. Her forecasting abilities have made a lot of money for the Psy. F-Psys are extremely rare and most are exploited until they literally lose their minds. Boy things really did heat up! Who knew my prediction would come true right down to the name of the book. (Honestly, had no idea.) Singh takes readers even deeper into her stunningly cold world of the Psy through Faith. Faith is a an F-psy (Foresight), she's the most powerful of her generation.

In this book we get to know Vaughn deeply. He made an appearance in 'Slave to Sensation' as he's is Lucas' sentinel and closest friend. He's also the only Jaguar in a Leopard pack. After reading 'S to S' I had fallen in love with Lucas, now after finishing this book I'm in love with Vaughn to. Now I can't wait to read Clay and Dorians books..... They better have books.

It was OK. For some reason, I just could not connect to either of the main characters, and I really just didn't care too much about them - I can honestly say that I don't know why since it had all the makings of a good storyline (and I really liked the first one), but just could not get into it. Plot was OK, but the story was anticlimactic in my opinion…. and at times, it was hard to know who was speaking which totally ripped me out of the story. Not sure if I will read the next book anytime soo

This is a solid four stars for me. I still have a hard time understanding the world of PsyNet. After reading book 2, still couldn’t wrap my head around it. Tho, I got the NetMind just fine. I like this a little more than the first book. Not much more, the plot was similar to the first book, not much to say.
I really like Vaughn and Faith. He, IMO, was more feral and primitive than Lucas). Faith was a never-been-touched-virgin however she, I think, little feistier and more likable than Sascha. Th ...more
