I've enjoyed all of the Reacher adventures so far and when I saw Tripwire in a local bookstore I immediately bought it.
This one is pretty gritty - Reacher's adversary is such a bad guy that Mr.No would blush :) - but it took me a while to read it through. Reason is .... well i guess romantic part of the novel. I will not put any spoilers here but man did these sections drag on. Again it could be just me but I cannot imagine walking tank like Reacher to go so mushy ..... It just did not feel OK, ...more

Compared to the first two Jack Reacher novels this was a bit of a let down. Spoiler... Anybody who's skimmed any article on actual hypnosis knows the big reveal in the book is impossible and I felt this time that it's cliched mystical potency was not excusable. Still an enjoyable read up to the point where it was obvious where it was going. I kept hoping to be surprised but wasn't. A lot of time was spent on a red herring that might have been a better avenue as a main plot.
