Contrary to the first two novels, A Study in Scarlet and The Sign of Four, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is not one story, but a collection of 12 independent tales.
Although a couple of cases are quite memorable - I really enjoyed The Adventure of the Speckled Band and The Adventure of the Copper Beeches - I liked the third volume in the Sherlock Holmes series less than the first and the second one.
