What Members Thought
I was surprised at the ease of reading this book; and I'm not sure how I ever missed that this book was ABOUT BOOKS. A wonderful treatise on how we can be influenced by books ... and other things ... in our lives. Ray Bradbury's look at the future from several decades ago, seems to have been quite clear ... and so accurate. Although a bit strange, as expected from Bradbury, it was also fun, extremely thought-provoking, and sometimes disturbing. All in all, everything I look for in a good book.

Kendimi pek bilim kurgu insanı olarak saymadığımı biliyorsunuz, ama distopyaları seviyorum bunu hiç inkar etmedim. Yine de Ray Bradbury okumak beni biraz ürkütmüyor değildi. İlk olarak, birkaç sene önce Resimli Adam’ı (The Illustrated Man) elime aldım ve yalan söyleyemeyeceğim, pek fazla içine giremedim, bir kenara koydum, yarım bıraktım demiyorum; o kadar ilerlemedim bile, bir gün geri dönüp yeniden denemek üzere kenara koydum diyorum. I loved this book. How ironic that a book centered on censorship would become banned or challenged. Guy Montag's character is genius. Very well-written. Bradbury has created a world that completely compels the reader.

It was a good book but sometimes I had trouble following what was actually going on.
