What Members Thought

A very easily digestible read, in a classic medieval-style fantasy setting. I like a good apprentice story (though I do think it is icky when they devolve into a romantic relationship), and I also enjoy a good spy/thief story, and this has both, with the seeds of a deeper mystery. Fun story, good start to an arc, with a fuzzy nostalgic place in my memory.

Fascinating convoluted tale of a fascinating multi-faceted character and his apprentice. Can't believe it's the same author as The Bone Doll's Twin, which was clunky and awkward.
