What Members Thought

I am really enjoying H.G. Wells writing and this one is no different, except for the style of writing, compared to the previous ones I’ve read. The style is different to the previous books I’ve read of his but I still thoroughly enjoyed this one, maybe a little bit more. This one needed that different take, because of what it was about, it needed more than one persons take, yet it still had Wells style to it. I don't usually read science fiction but I did enjoy this. Despite the book's age it has weathered well. The science is just enough, and just plausible enough, for the story. The main interest is in the effect of invisibility and isolation on man and that is as relevant today as when it was written.

A weird, excellent story of the impossible terrorizing and being hunted by the residents of a small English town.
