What Members Thought

This book has been on my bookshelf for as long as I can remember. It is actually one of my comfort reads. I’ve re-read it several times through the years and it remains an all-time favorite. I LOVE it. 5 BIG stars of course (I'd give it more if I could).

An Unforgettable Romance.
The autobiography of Jane Eyre, who was orphaned as an infant and for a time becomes the governess at Thornfield Hall where she falls in love with her employer Edward Fairfax Rochester.
Written by English writer Charlotte Bronte, but first published under the male pseudonym Currer Bell. Her publishers did not know Bell was really a woman until 1848, a year after the book was published.
A classic of English literature and a must read for every one of it's 172 years. ...more
