BOTM Suggestions Feb '18 - Classics (1969 and before)
I would like to suggest Sunset Song by Lewis Grassic Gibbon You will love this one. It is a lovely book.
Innastholiel wrote: "The Picture of Dorian Gray is in the polls for January. Go vote for it here."I did, but I think it's going to lose.
I nominate Great Expectations by Charles Dickens and I second Sunset Song. I completely agree with Cordelia that it is a lovely book.
I'm nominating Pride and Prejudice, The Grapes of Wrath and The Last of the Mohicans. And, I'll second Catch-22.
I will second Middlemarch, Sunset Song, Watership Down, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and The Grapes of Wrath.
I'd like to nominate something by Albert Camus, The Plague or The Fall, I've been wanting to read both for a while
Yes, looks like Watership Down has an original publish date of 1972 so should be in the other thread.
Funny, it has been in the polls twice (March and May 2017), in the Classics. May have been before the 1970 border.Haha, by that time books were getting little more then 10 votes each, or even less.
