I listened to the audio version of this book, performed by Tom Hollander and was surprised by how much I liked it. I went into this never having seen the movie, and not actually knowing anything about the story, and at the beginning I was pretty disgusted. It starts with descriptions of the ultra-violence our humble narrator so enjoyed carrying out, which is definitely not a thing I enjoy reading about. But then he started to get his comeuppance and everything got better. I have never rooted so ...more
