I love that book
Quick question, How many books may I second?
One more question, How do I get the phrase, It was the best of times and the worst of times, to stop looping in my head?

I’ll also nominate Ready Player One.
Lastly Happy New Year all!

And Happy New Year to you as well Leesa! (and everyone else too!)

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
A Clockwork Orange
I'll also second A Tale of Two Cities

I second The Kite Runner, Ready Player One, and A Clockwork Orange.
I would also like to nominate Life of Pi.

Tale of two cities and
Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy (cos i've bought it twice last year and gave both copies as gifts and never read it myself. Shame on me)

Hi Isabel - we actually have not read The Catcher in the Rye so it is not eligible for this category. Normally I would send you over to the Classics BOTM thread, but we're currently taking nominations for Nonfiction books only. If you don't mind holding on to this nomination until the end of the month, you can suggest for Classics, thanks!

This is a catch-up book club, after all. For this category, you can nominate any book that the group has previously read. For a list of books that the group has previously read and discussed, please see the bookshelf.
The following books are NOT eligible as we have reread them as a group within the last twelve months:
American Gods by Neil Gaiman
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I'll start off by suggesting a group read that I personally missed - A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens.
