Wow! I didn't think anyone wrote science fiction like this any more. I couldn't put it down--very suspenseful. Mark Watney is marooned on Mars. Will he survive? This story was filled with lots of technical, scientific facts, which I love--reminded me of Martin Caidin's Marooned or Stanislaw Lem's Pirx the Pilot stories. Watney's technical journal entries are punctuated with emotional moments, and are alternated with scenes of what the NASA folks are up to back on Earth. Will they realize that he

Probably one of the best books I will read this year.
I went into this without knowing anything about the story. I haven't seen the movie and I've stayed away from any spoilers, so I was blind. About halfway through I needed to google the ending in case I needed to have a mental breakdown.
