3.5 stars - A frustrating protagonist and annoyingly unknowable love interest make this a difficult series to like, even when it is nicely original, with elements of brilliant writing

Faefever is book 3 in Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series, which is told from the perspective of a single female protagonist - Mac, a SidheSeer, a human who can see the fae (fairies). The book picks up directly after it’s predecessor Bloodfever and ends on massive cliffhanger that requires you to read the next book Dr

My favorite in the series so far! I'm loving Mac's transformation and her resilience in this new world of hers! Barrons can still do no wrong in my eyes...even when he's an ass I love him! I was glued to the pages and refuse to believe the ending had come when I got to the last page. I'm just thankful that I am reading the series now and don't have to wait an entire year to find out what happens next! I think it's safe to say I have the Fever! ...more

Crazy cliffhanger ... moving directly to book 4. Thankfully, I started this series after all the books were in print. Be sure when you read this book, you have Dreamfever in hand.
Still no clue who Jericho Barrens is and I am still unsure if I like him. I desperately want him to be a good guy, but I think I know who or rather what he is?? To me there was a big WTF moment with the cake.

I liked this book, but it was definitely more of a transitional book that the first 2 in the series. More details were revealed of the main and some sub- characters and the object Mac is looking for, but other than that not a lot else really went on.

I know a lot of other people who have reviewed this book were disgusted by the ending. I have to say while I didn't like it, it terms of what happened to Mac, I can just only hope that she manages to turn it round and become stronger because of it.
