This book was excellent. My favorite part was that Oluo makes concrete recommendations for things to do at the end of the book - the mark of a truly well-put-together activist book. Much of it will be repetitive if you've read other, similar books, but a) learning requires repetition so that we remember what we're being taught; b) repetition is useful because it helps distinguish what large numbers of people think vs. what only one person thinks; and c) the recommendations at the end are alone e ...more

I wish everyone would take it upon themselves to read this book. The author breaks down many key issues for consideration when discussing race and explains why it is of concern and suggests next steps.
