Wonderfully written! An ending I did not see coming as well. Really enjoyed this. Upsetting that Chopin was not recognized for her talents while she was still alive.

Why do some books about the self actualization of women make the main characters come across as annoying?? I'm all for women having an identity but Edna was so selfish and wrapped in herself she didn't even care about her family. I did like the ending, not because I was happy to see her die but because I thought she had finally found a way to free herself. Then again I'm not an advocate of suicide but she lived in a different time so I can see why she did it. ...more
