What's not to love about Christie? And this is one of her best from the setting to suspects to plot and puzzle. And as usual nothing gets past Hercule Poirot. What I love especially about Christie is the "forehead thump factor"—how she plays fair with the reader, dropping (and hiding) clues along the way, all to be put together and revealed by Poirot in the end when the lightbulb finally goes on for the reader as to how and whodunnit. Agatha Christie at her devious best.

I remember how outraged I was the first time I read this. Christie wove her plot beautifully--I had no idea! I was so outraged that I remembered the solution perfectly, and that prevented me rereading it until now. Knowing made no difference. Seeing the different parts of the plot come together so perfectly really made me appreciate Christie's mastery of her craft all over again.
