Again, couldn't find the same version of the audio that I listened to (BBC Audio), but this was close enough. Fantastic mystery, no less effective because I remembered whodunnit.

Witnesses had seen her visiting him the night he died but she has a rock solid alibi in that she was at the same time having dinner with friends who swore she never left the dinner. Another quick, clever Poirot read.
Japp and Hastings both assist in this novel which of course lent itself to plenty of entertaining quips and sarcastic comments. Featuring a cast of interesting characters and suspects including artists and aristocrats, it quickly becomes clear that there is more to this case than meets the eye. Although not a favourite, this is a quick entertaining read with complex MOs and motives and lots of Poirot's little grey cells. ...more
