Shelves: want-to-reread, christie

I am so enjoying reading and rereading Agatha Christie's wonderful mysteries! I read them so long ago that I don't remember much detail, and have enjoyed watching BBC dramatizations of Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot, but they can't get into the details the books provide. I had forgotten Christie's dry humor, and of course her tight plotting and complex whodunnits can't be beat! Truly delightful, I think I may have to start collecting her books again for re-reading. ...more

First sentence: The memory of the public is short. Already the intense interest and excitement aroused by the murder of George Alfred St. Vincent Marsh, fourth Baron Edgware, is a thing past and forgotten. Newer sensations have taken its place. My friend, Hercule Poirot, was never openly mentioned in connection with the case. This, I may say, was entirely in accordance with his own wishes.
