Another one that was an early Christie for me. Such a good set up and so well done. You have the closed system where the murderer could be anyone, and everyone is getting picked off one by one. The reveal at the very end is really well done.

Wow! Had to bump up to 5 stars, this was a flawless mystery by the master, in my mind. I borrowed the Hugh Fraser narrated audiobook from my library, and read my own used Christie omnibus hardcover. I’ll be purchasing the audiobook and a spiffy new ebook or paperback to enjoy whenever I want to reread, which I will. It’s been decades since my first reading, but I won’t wait so long to revisit.

It's a great story, extremely clever, but the characters--extremely well written and real--were all unlikeable. So, it's a 5-star story for reasons, but I'll probably never read this one again, and I do like the movie (1946, maybe?) better. Still, I loved reading it.

Let me just say that I love Agatha Christie and have since junior high. It's been a while since I read this and I didn't remember much of the plot details. It is a gripping story, and it contains a lot, although it is a quick read.
