This book just didn't engage me in any way.

A political science fiction story with a heavy dose of linguistics, it went out of it's way to be unique and complicated. But it missed in giving even one character to feel empathy with or to cheer or to love to hate. So while I loved the idea, it was essentially a boring book for me.

I really tried to finish this but it became impossible. I got to page 210 and really didnt care, there are loads more books out there and i feel im wasting my time.

A story about language and by the 210th page the hosts were addicts to an ambassadors spoken language, nah not for me.

He seemed to say a lot without actually saying anything at times. Gone were the lush descriptions of a city like in Perdido, The Scar and Un Lun Dun... at felt as if there was a lot unsaid which possibly is out of my s
