4.5 Stars. Another great installment of one of the best SF series of the past 15 years. Not quite as good as some of the earlier installments, but the quality level is still very high. Recommended!!!

Miles is no longer Admiral Naismith, but he has been appointed to a position as an Imperial Auditor, which in this universe is like being the hand of the emperor to investigate crimes and situations. Miles is suffering even more physical ailments than ever before, but his mind is just as acute and he will need all of his wits on Komarr.
A winner.
