What Members Thought

I borrowed this book from the library.
Okay, so we know me. I love a graphic novel and Heartstopper is one of those graphic novels that EVERYBODY has something positive to say about. Genuinely, I don't think I have ever heard a bad word about this series. So of course, I don't want to read it. With the show being released on Netflix, it seems that this story won't be vanishing into obscurity soon, so after seeing it in the University library, I picked it up, telling myself it'll be nice but wo ...more

3.75 ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
This was my first graphic novel. So, I’m most definitely out of my wheelhouse here. If I was going off the first half of the book it would have gotten a 1 star. I was *really* struggling to see what the fuss was about. Once I got to the second part of the book, I started smiling a lot and it had that first love and innocent type of vibe. I hate cliffhangers so I wasn’t keen on the ending at all. I have the next volume on hold so I’m going to continue on with the series.

After everybody had hyped this graphic novel up I was really excited to read it. Honestly I’m being generous with my rating because it barely kept my attention and I didn’t enjoy the plot line at all. The plot line felt really dry to me and it just felt all over the place. There were only a few spots where I actually understood was was going on. I don’t think I will continue the series and I wish I would’ve enjoyed it so much more.

Very quick read. So cute! I binged the tv series and knew I had to grab a copy of the books.

This was one of the cutest and most wholesome graphic novels that I have read. I loved it so much. I need the second one like now, especially after that cliffhanger ending. It would be so amazing to see it in color. I loved the story and the characters. It's such a sweet story about two people becoming friends, and a relationship developing, while discovering and accepting who you are. It's just a super sweet, adorable read. I'm also wanting to read Solitaire now. This was the first book that I'
