What's up with these "Something of Something and Something" YA titles that have become strangely popular lately? It is becoming extremely annoying. How about we become original for once?
Somebody did it and it was nice. No need for everyone to do the same now! This is ridiculous!

There is no truly original story, all writing is built off of other writing and myth throughout history. The best books are the ones that can take those stories and turn them into something new that doesn't feel overused, something completely their own. Girls of Paper and Fire does exactly this. This book was hard to put down, I wanted to keep reading to know what happened to each of the characters. I love Lei but was even more so impressed by Wren, she’s such a badass in the book and she is also so warm and supportive. All the feels. I love the connection that builds between the two girls and loved that they had each other during dark times. Looking forward to continuing the series.

Amazing
I have not read a book this amazing in a while and I can't wait for the sequel. This was an amazing read and the story flowed so smoothly and easy to follow. Even though the story has its dark moments it's written very well and is written with the right tones to avoid massive issues. ...more
