4 stars. Could have been half a star more but the pacing was a little off. And so finally..Anoshe to Grey, White and Red London. A fine tale and well told. I like the way Victoria builds the story slowly in this and all the books. It's frustrating at the time, but I find it always pays off in the second half. Whereas the short chapters in the previous books seemed to make the book read quickly, in this book I found it easier to put the book down between sections. We get more back-story particula

Yay, I finished a series! I've been wanting to read this trilogy for a while, it's so popular and is quoted all the time. This last book had a lot going on and some pretty crazy scenes. We learn about Holland's past, discover a new antari, and try to defeat Osaron, the shadow king.
My favorite part of this book was learning about Holland. He's a great morally gray character and seeing into his past made me like him more. Holland has suffered several heartbreaks, romantic and familial. He's survi ...more

3 stars. Meh. That’s what I feel for this series as a whole. Just….meh. It’s okay. I just wish I felt emotionally attached to this series and these characters but that’s not the case unfortunately.
The ending is okay, but felt way too cheesy and wrapped up too nicely for my taste. The beginning of this book was pretty decent but then 150 pages or so in it all starts to drag and continues to drag to pretty much the end. I was bored for the majority of it and this book was entirely too damn long fo ...more

Not as compelling conclusion to this trilogy. I found my mind wandering a lot while listening to the audio and the big bad was a cool concept but didn’t deliver. Was glad that it at least had a somewhat happy ending despite all the characters went through, they deserved it. Will possibly continue on to the spinoff Threads of Power series but have the desire to read other books before I would return to this world.
