How can one write a review for such a perfect book? I know I won't be able to do it justice, but I'm going to try.
Alex Claremont-Diaz is the First Son of the United States. He's eager to help his Mom as she begins to rev up for her reelection campaign (that's right a woman is President in this book). Prince Henry is part of the royal family. When they meet up again at a royal wedding and destory a wedding cake, they are forced on a trip to mend their relationship to the world and it turns into ...more

On my second read through, this book has officially solidified itself as a comfort reread. I forgot how much I had so thoroughly enjoyed it!
There are so many things about this book that speak to my soul from the various references of Jane Austen, Star Wars, politics, and literature. It's a culmination of the many interests I have and I love that the two MC's in this book are just as nerdy as I am.

Just for the happiness that reading about two people so in love that nothing else genuinely matters brings, this book is a completely joyful read!
The race you are born into, who your parents are, what your station in life is, the duties you are expected to fulfill.. none of this should be a reason to suppress your true self or restrict who you can fall in love with because that's so fundamental to a person's individuality. What is the point of anything when such a basic right is denied and can a ...more

4.5 stars LOVED THIS - thank you for the buddy read! Review to come xx

Okay so I really really loved this book and actually devoured it in one sitting. It made me laugh. It made me cry (a few times). I absolutely loved Alex and Henry and it was nice to read such a positive book with a happy ending.
But... I wish it didn't have real people in it. The fact that they took the actual royal family and then made like fictional personas for them (portraying Henry as a hero and Phillip as a villain, etc) was freaking mind bogglingly weird to me. I've been trying to find how ...more

Wonderful! The best book I’ve read in years...
This is the world and reality I wish we lived in. And I truly wish it could all come true.
