Just for the happiness that reading about two people so in love that nothing else genuinely matters brings, this book is a completely joyful read!
The race you are born into, who your parents are, what your station in life is, the duties you are expected to fulfill.. none of this should be a reason to suppress your true self or restrict who you can fall in love with because that's so fundamental to a person's individuality. Alex and Henry, first enemies, but was that animosity hiding something neither wanted to acknowledge? Yes.
They both just have to get to that point (or maybe just Alex does?).
I love how they were forced to be in one another's company after an incident at a wedding, but quickly started communicating with each other just because they wanted to. Alex, clearly didn't realize what was actually happening during these exchanges (and we don't have Henry's pov) until June, or maybe Nora, calls a spade a ...more

Okay so I really really loved this book and actually devoured it in one sitting. It made me laugh. It made me cry (a few times). I absolutely loved Alex and Henry and it was nice to read such a positive book with a happy ending.
But... I wish it didn't have real people in it. The fact that they took the actual royal family and then made like fictional personas for them (portraying Henry as a hero and Phillip as a villain, etc) was freaking mind bogglingly weird to me. I've been trying to find how ...more
