Okay it's official. This is my most favorite book in this genre. I loved it so much; you guys cannot even imagine how much. I know it took a long time for me to finish it, but I had a good reason. I just didn't want it to end, so I read and savored it as long as possible!

This is a beauty and the beast retelling mixed with fae folklore. I know it sounds weird, but it totally works!

3.5/5 — whew finally finished reading this after being on and off with it the last few months cause I kept getting bored 🫣 it’s pretty simplistic as a fantasy but it’s a fun lil read. I heard the second one is good so I might read that at some point

I was really excited for this book and this was one of my most anticipating releases of 2015 first because it's written by Sarah J. Maas and also because it is a Beauty and the Beast retelling and I love retellings. Believe me, I wasn't disappointed when I finished this book. This book...this book, this book, this book...the first time I read this book, is when my grandmama passed away, and I didn't want to touch this book at all. Now that I checked this book out nearly a couple months later, let's just say that this book basically blew my mind. This was a great read. I definitely saw a lot of beauty and the beast retold - much appreciated. Some plot elements did have a Twilight flavour, but that isn't a problem.
I did have a few problems with this (like why not fall for the nice and witty guy? And why the 'Cauldron' bs? It didn't get explained and it was so strange to read that it pulled me out of the story every time)
