I. Could. Not. Put. This. Book. Down.

I mean that literally. Last night I lay in bed listening to music and forming romantic scenarios in my head involving Dorian and Celaena. And then I just thought "One more chapter" and one escalated into two, and vice versa.

This book is everything I wished for without knowing I wanted it until I delved into this universe. The storyline draws you in instantly; it's evident from the very first page that Celaena is a sass master, and that immediate 10+ stars.

I. Could. Not. Put. This. Book. Down.

This book is everything I wished for without knowing I wanted it until I delved into this universe. The storyline draws you in instantly; it's evident from the very first page that Celaena is a sass master, and that immediate love of her is inevitable. Not to mention the Crown Prince.
I've always found princes irresistible, and it has everything to do with their air of authority that pollutes their surroundings. And they always seem to have a façade about them.
Prince Dorian is different. He maintains that manner but is careless in a free spirited way. You know that tightness in your throat when you first meet a character and love them instantly? I got that. He has a heart of pure gold, loves so bloody deeply it makes your own heart ache, has an adoring sense of humour, stands up for what he believes is right and rebels against rules that were ingrained in his mind from birth.
Gosh, I love him.

Celaena is my idol. She's strong and irreplaceable. She has a heart of ice but it melts gradually over time, though not completely. She's a survivor and a warrior. I've never come across anyone quite like her. She's truly extraordinary and captivating.
What makes her story that much more heart clenching is the fact that she is so cold and aloof to begin with, and how she forms this inseparable bond with Dorian, how she confides in Nehamia or however you spell her name--and Chaol; she must've contemplated the idea of how many ways she could snap his neck and in the end, she wound up playfully punching his arm and joking and laughing with him. That is what gets you.

I've never cried at the first book in a series before but I did just 30 pages in. Throne of Glass is an enchanting read that will leave you staring blankly at the wall afterward thinking "What do I do with my life while I wait for the sequel to arrive?"

It's like nothing I've ever read. Already I want to re-read it again... ...more

I've been quite hard on this book throughout my reading. Mainly because I've read so many raving reviews about it so my expectation was high. And I would say, from page 1 till the final page of reading this book, it didnt win my heart right from the start (like my other 5 stars rated books, thus the 4 stars rating) but it definitely managed to convinced me that the journey ahead is going to be more fun. And I definitely cant wait to start the Journey again with Celaena Sardothien. What an awesom ...more

I've seen so many good things written about this book, and now having finally finished it I can see why. I thoroughly enjoyed the story from start to finish, and I can't wait to pick up and read the second book in the series which I've heard is even better than the first!

I loved the main character, Celaena. Her attitude and dialogue made reading her parts very entertaining and enjoyable. I did find myself wishing that we would actually see more of what she could do in action, rather than her jus ...more
