I've been hearing about these books since I started blogging but I just don't like assassins. I'm glad I finally read it! Celaena is not some heartless assassin and I can see why these books are so popular. She totally kicks butt!

Besides kicking butt, Celaena is a well rounded character, who likes pretty dresses and candy. She's tough but not perfect. Some people though she was arrogant but I saw it as she'd just been through a trauma and she's trying to convince herself she's still strong. (Al

Rereading the entire series so I can FINALLY read the last book, I’ve forgotten too much to just dive into Kingdom of Ash so i’m refreshing my memory (and really enjoying doing so).

So... I think I'm in love.

Confieso que no tenía muchas expectativas para leer este libro... pero

¡¡¡ P E R F E C C I O N !!!

Me encantó!

Wow!! What a thrilling book. I normally rely on a good romance storyline to keep me interested in these types of novels, but in this books case it was so not necessary. Celaena is an awesome character all on her own, girl power baby!! I can't wait to see where life takes her next. I can already tell this will be an excellent trilogy. ...more

LOVED this book! Okay, I admit I have a thing for assassins, but I really liked the story and I can't wait to see what happens next. Off to read more of the author's works.

I need people to recommend me more books like this one. If you have any suggestions, leave me a comment!

I’ve seen so many good reviews of this series and now I’ve finally started reading it myself. This book was great and I really liked it. The most engrossing thing about it is the world. Sarah J.Maas created an unusual universe which somewhat resembles Middle Ages. After tons of books about our modern world I was pleased to read something new like this one. This world is well thought out and there was even a map of it in the book! The names confused me at first. They were unfamiliar and difficult ...more

I loved this book.

I loved the characters, the setting, the plot, the writing - everything. In Throne of Glass, Maas has created an entirely unique and exciting new fantasy world that draws you in and ensures that you will want to keep reading.

I am such a sucker for some good, witty dialogue. It brings such life to the story and the characters, and makes them appear much more real to me. Maas provides excellent banter between Celaena, Dorian, and

Maddie Croox's 'Bookish Bingo Challenge': Book 1: Read a book with a kickass female heroine

This was, in short, the most AMAZING way to start off my 2015 reading challenge. I am in love with this book, and I am in love with the characters.
Celaena is such a freaking badass. All the way through, I just wanted to BE her. She's so confident and sassy and just like, the epitome of cool and awesome and amazing and every other synonym of the word.
Dorian, pwoah. I read a lot of reviews saying they hate

I'm not really a big fan of this series, but it wasn't too bad. I finished the book without much afterthought and it definitely didn't have a special place on my shelf. To me, this is the kind of book that you read while waiting for your favorites to be published simply because there are no other better available options to be read.

The plot isn't the most original out there in the Young Adult/Fantasy genre but it was still palatable. The characters, however, is what brought the rating down to 3

3.95? I don't know. I just feel like it fell flat for me :/

With all the hype that was surrounding this book, especially recently, I expected a lot more.

For some reason for me the whole just wasn't completely "there" and I felt like something was missing/off throughout the whole book.

I was not a fan of Dorian and Celaena being a "thing" because something about him seemed to be forced. I think Chaol, if anybody, would have been a better choice and maybe something comes out of that in the second b
