An interesting, sometimes humorous, account of a man who lives his life backward. He is born quite old and gets younger. Once you have disassociated yourself from the impossibility of any woman surviving such a birth and the idea that any man would accept that this even older man is his son, you begin to have a view of Benjamin Button as a soul sadly out of time. If Fitzgerald produced this story after Mark Twain said :
“Life would be infinitely happier if we could only be born at the age of 80 and gradually approach 18.”

It makes one wonder: When is life difficult? When is it fulfilling?

The movie takes so many detours that it’s better to read the tale and reflect for yourself.
