An excellent, if somewhat idiosyncratic, translation of Beowulf. What really sets this translation apart is Headley’s experience as a novelist. Despite the modern twist, every word is carefully chosen and adds to the overall narrative. Also, her introduction explaining her approach to translation was enlightening and worth the cost of admission.
