#20... Plugging away in chrono order on the McCrum list! I tried a few times as a young girl to get into Little Women, but the four New England sisters were so far from my childhood reality that I never got past the first chapters. As an adult, I enjoyed it and I'll admit that I was surprised. The saccharine sweetness that I'd expected was there just a bit but was more than offset by vibrant personalites, tempers and angst.
