What can I say about Winnie the Pooh that hasn't already been said?! Such a sweet story of gentle friends who looked after each other. For more modern-day readers, entering the Hundred Acre Wood was like spending time in Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. It left me longing for those not-so-far-off days when living in Mister Rogers' Neighborhood was not such a fantasy. Messrs. Milne and Rogers provided to children a wonderful world waiting to be explored. What a legacy they both left behind.

I've never been a huge Pooh fan and after reading this, I realize it's not because it's bad, it's just not my kind of story telling. I read it with the kids for school and at the end, they too, said they could take it or leave it. We had much more fun reading Roald Dahl and Tolkien. The storytelling is light and fluffy like Pooh, and I long for something deeper with more meat. I couldn't relate to the adventures and even the portrayal of Eeyore, my favorite character, left something to be desire
