I’ve tried to read this book in the past but couldn’t manage to get into it, though upon trying again and persevering through the first section I was happy to begin uncovering helpful gems. Though there is a good case for women not having as rich a history of predecessors to build upon, I do think separating writers into just men and women and comparing the experiences of those fortunate few men against all women who might have been writers a bit much.
