I'm not a believer in love at first sight (lust, certainly) but I enjoyed watching a relationship develop between Natasha (an undocumented immigrant from Jamaica) and Daniel (American, but part of a traditional Korean family).

Natasha goes to the immigration office in a last-ditch effort to keep her family from being deported. Several coincidences later, she's on the way to an appointment with a lawyer who specializes in immigration issues. She meets Daniel as he is on his way to his favorite ba

Adorable and tear jerky and I can’t wait for the movie!! Beautifully written (I love the little inserts of other stories and explanations) and breathtaking at times. Perfect for the romantic and the scientist in everyone.

Pretty over the top, but in a good way. Very reminiscent of Before Sunrise/Before Sunset.

Natasha and Daniel couldn't be more different and neither one of them has time to fall in love. But sometimes fate cannot be ignored. *swooooon*

I could not put this book down. It was smart. It was romantic. It was hilarious. It was heartwarming. It was heartbreaking. Loved it! What a great first read of the new year. Also, I may have a tiny crush on the main male character. :D

(PS Despite loving the story, I did not love the inclusion of a whole lot of swearing. *sigh* :/ )

A complicated love story

An impossible meeting. An improbable love. An immovable force. An intrinsic desire. An iconic ending. This was a sweet, surprisingly complex love story about the way connections are made and the importance of family, both born and found.
