I didn't know about this book until I saw on "2020 in Goodreads" posts of my friends and that's a shame! This is a great story! Surely, it is similar to a couple of other books but the way the story is told is unique!

I was surprised throughout, and was physically yearning for the char

What a charming book and cast of characters. I found myself laughing out loud many times and tearing up with the compassion of the characters. In what has been a month of mass shootings and police killing unarmed boys and men, this lovely story reminded me that hearts can be good.
