The ending was disappointing. I was somewhat intrigued by the book, and I read the whole thing (which is rare with young adult books these days), so it gets three stars for now.

I will pick up the sequel to see if Hodkin fleshes out the characters a bit more.

This book is more of a 3.75. I was sucked in. It was creepy at times and I liked the characters, but the ending is not conclusive in any way. I understand how series work, but each book needs to have some answers. Good stuff though and I will be reading the next book.
