I picked this up randomly because I was in desperate need of an audio book and it was checked in. And it was read by Reese Witherspoon. Oh, whatever.
It's not really a great book. It feels so much like a first draft, like it was propelled with great force from a brain but not greatly revised.

Although I'm in the minority, when I asked myself what I didn't like about this book, I couldn't find an answer. I found it a story about self-reflection and the letting go of our Disney princess ideals about the people in our lives, especially the pedestals on which we place our fathers. They are, after all, only human. And separately, I'm a sucker for all things nostalgia - of which there is plenty. Uncle Jack is my favorite character. Nothing to get excited about. If I didn't know it was by Harper Lee, I wouldn't have guessed. Completely different writing style from TKAM, and the language sounded much more modern. The characters in this books weren't that interesting, and honestly, this book was a disappointment. TKAM is my favorite book, and I loved the characters in it. This one, not so much.

Cuando supe que existía una especie de continuación de "Matar a un ruiseñor" me dio mucha curiosidad por ver qué había sido de los personajes, así que en cuanto lo terminé, me puse a leer este y en los primeros capítulos tuve sentimientos encontrados (la mayor parte negativos) pero luego entendí mejor el desarrollo y ya ya para el final estuve más conforme con la historia.
