Shelves: fireside-reading

This was good - Christie does a marvelous job of drawing each character distinctly. I had no trouble keeping straight who was who - a problem I sometimes encounter in mysteries!

The premise is of course a seminal one. Long before reading this, I've enjoyed the movies Clue and Murder by Death, and clearly they owe so much to this single novel. This I assigned to John Matthew for his summer reading. This would have been required reading for him if we had stayed in Edmond, so I thought it would be great to read this summer. He was initially reluctant since "mom told him to", but quickly became engrossed and stayed up late two nights to finish it.
