This was one of the books I was surprised to realize I've never read. I read a lot of Agatha Christie when I was younger, mostly Poirots, and this one is such a classic. In fact, And Then There Were None has inspired so many books, movies and episodes of TV shows, I figured maybe reading it would be kind of predictable. "Oh, yeah, and then they find another body, ho hum, SEEN it." I was wrong.

Wow. It has been just long enough from watching the special on tv that I had forgotten who did it, and the book is definitely better than the movie. You really can’t tell who it is until the end.

It's a classic for a reason.

This was my first Christie, a sparely written and highly suspenseful little mystery. I thought I had figured out whodunnit, but I had it wrong!
I understand that the title has gone through several evolutions to make it less offensive, but I was still startled by some bigoted attitudes within the text. This did lessen my enjoyment quite a bit. I guess things have really changed.
