What Members Thought

Wow.
This is one of those winding tales that pulls you down a path that you're not quite sure where it's going. Then somewhere along the halfway point you realize that's all bound to meet in the middle, that it's bound to confuse you even more than it should and you catch your breath on each word, terrified of what might happen.
And i'm waxing poetically about a book i fell in love with immediately. But it's an amazing read and as enchanting as the characters and the world it builds.

This is one of those books that has me under its spell (ha!) so deeply that it is hard to contemplate reading another book. Part of the setting is a mysterious, magical (literally) circus that opens at nightfall and appears quite unexpectedly in places around the world. The storyline wasn't what made the book good and the character development wasn't spectacular like I usually like, but that didn't matter because the setting was amazing. The author describes each new setting so it's interesting and beautiful. The setting almost is a character and it develops throughout the book. It's a book I enjoyed for the reading journey, not necessarily because it had a satisfying ending.

This is a book that should not be rushed through or expected to be devoured in one setting. It must be savored and taken in a little at a time. The magic and awe of the circus is so wonderfully imagined that I truly wish I could go there in person. I could almost smell the caramel and taste the chocolate mice on my tongue. There are so many wondrous characters, performances, magical rooms, and dreamy scenes to intoxicate the senses. The romance between Celia and Marco is beautiful in its simplic

This is the circus in my head on paper and wonderous love story. Not overly sappy with a wonderful paced tension that kept me reading til late at night and kept me awake after I'd put the book down. A brillent book that will make my friends go out and buy because I am not parting with my copy.
