Man....I think the narrator (Hugh Fraser) did this no favors for me? I am a little mystified why this book never “caught” for me. It might have been name overwhelm - seeing as how this was audio and there were a LOT of dude names (only 3 female characters, which not bad for the times, etc etc) they kind of all just smeared together into one polite and mildly offputting dude-character in my mind (it got better as it went along and there were fewer to keep track of 😅).

Hard to rate this because I'd already seen the Lifetime/BBC adaptation (which is tremendous) so I knew the twist already, but very fun to see it all unfold on paper, as it were.

This was my first Agatha Christie novel and I enjoyed it. My 11 year old picked it up once I finished it and devoured it that evening, so it's a book with widespread appeal.
