I never expected to like it, but I did. I actually enjoyed it until about 80% mark, when our main character turned into a total ... well, I don't even have a word for it. I know she was only sixteen and had some tough decisions to make, but this was just ridiculous. What was she? A human weathervane? ...more

Even though this is considered dystopian lit, I read it like it was like the show, The Bachelor. I really enjoyed the main character's honesty and desire to be herself throughout the whole book. Now I need to get my hands on the 2nd book, The Elite. I want to know what happens next!!!! ...more

This was one of those "lose yourself for a day" type of books. Nothing too deep, story line that grabs you from the start, likable/unlikable characters, and a triangle love story. It was entertainment and I enjoyed it. Moved right on to the 2nd book in the series because I truly want to know what happens to the characters. I'm not a literary snob - I read for enjoyment! ...more
