I have to say, I'm overall pleasantly-ish surprised by this series. A rating of three stars is pretty decent for me. I did peruse the spoilers before picking this book up, and I'm quite glad that I did. But I am that way. I will say that quite a few of the questions/issues that I had with the first book were fairly cleaned up by the end.

Ragequit so hard because the science. OMG, the terrible attempt at science! D:
this one was really hard for me to finish. I don't know if it was because I knew the series was ending or because it was different from the other too. kind of a disappointment after reading the other two.

While the weaker book in the series, Allegiant is still quite good and even had me on verge of tears at one point.
While this book was wonderful in bringing the story all together and pulling it directly into the world in which I live ... helping me to see so many similarities between this warped society, and the one in which I live ... it was interesting reading, and a great book ... but ... I'll leave out the spoilers,

I can see why many people rated this book so low. I gave it 4 stars because I really did like the story. However, just like everyone else, I did not like the ending. I'm a "tie it up in a pretty bow" reader. I felt very invested in these characters and was truly bummed out that so many of them did not make it. It was a good trilogy, and now I can't wait to see the movie.
