This book was a lot better than the first one. It started off a bit slow but once it picked up there was non stop action. It was pretty much edge of your seat suspense as the kids ran from loop to loop while being chased by the White's as they tried to save Mrs. Peregrine. The problem was that they didn't do anything but run from the White's and look for Mrs. Wren. They didn't figure anything out about how to save the other Ymbryne's or how to defeat the White's. 3.5 stars. Fun to spend so much time with the children and really get to know them and about the peculiar world, but the journey became a bit tedious with the constant disappointment.

This is the sequel to "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children". The first book left you with everyone trying to escape the island they lived on from a bombing in 1940. The sequel starts with them running for their lives from creatures called Hollowghasts trying to catch them and destroy them. As they run, they meet other peculiar people, as well as enemies to their very existence.
