5 I LOVE VICTOR (VICOR IS MINE, I’ve ALWAYS LOVED HIM) Stars

I love this series like crazy mad. EACH book I get is so unexpected and so different. I don’t know how J.A. Redmerski does it. And she’s so sneaky too with her release dates. Ahhhh all good things come to those who wait.

Behind the Hands that Kill is the 6th book In the Company of Killers series. I’ve been waiting for this book since book two. This is Victor’s story and we get into the gritty and messy part.

"The stars will die before we do, Izabel..."

Another great addition to one of my all time favorite series. In this book we are focusing mainly on Victor and Izabel. We get to see another side of Victor which was very interesting and explains his character as well. I loved the flashbacks into his past life. It was obvious to Victor that he needed to come clean about his secrets, Izabel deserved to know about these secrets he kept hidden.

HOLY SMOKES ON TOAST!!!!!!

When I tell you I plowed through this, I. PLOWED. THROUGH. THIS. BOOK. I read so fast, I screamed like a banshee because I had gotten to the end so quickly. I read this like the Apocalypse was the next day and I wanted...NO...I NEEDED...to know what happens in the next chapter and then the next chapter with Izabel and Victor.
My heart was palpitating so hard at one point I thought I was going to have a serious heart attack. That was such an intense ride!

There is only ONE series that could end my reading slump. Only ONE series that could make me put down whatever it is I'm reading at the moment, and read it instead. Loved it! Behind The Hands That Kill proved to me why I like In The Company Of Killers series so much. The character development has been nothing but brilliant. I appreciate where Redmerski has taken (and is taking) Sarai to. She is definitely my favorite female character; tbh, now more than ever. ❤

A whole other Victor Faust was presented and it was something beautifully sad to see. The new family introduced kept the book's dynamic (how badass are the Stone--starting from their mythological names? I thought they were great non-unidimensional villains).

There were two things I didn't like:
• Nora felt absurdly underused? I know she's like a female version of Faust but we all know he too has feelings, so she shouldn't seem so robotic. I guess I still want more from her (and I also guess--and hope--I'll be getting it in the series near future).
• Fredrik was chatty-ish? It felt a bit out of place. I know he feels for Izabel, but what? Idk what he has been through while all this plot was happening, and maybe it justifies it, but right now I can't buy it. (I'm not fully complaining though; if it means that he is somehow... happy?... then it is a great thing. I just don't understand it.)

About the teasers for future books: I can't wait for them--ALL of them. They just promise so much! I liked them specially for proving how the series is far away from its ending. I'm excited to get at least some secrets revealed in the next one, and I hope SeraphinaxFredrik's one is reaaaally long (my OTP deserves it). ...more

Everyday for the past few months, I've had growing anxiety because of this book. J.A. Redmerski did not release pretty much anything, until last week she decided to pull a Beyoncé and drop the book. I had to prepare myself emotionally and mentally, since I knew this book was probably going to blow my mind. The fact that we finally ( finally! ) have a book about Victor means that there would probably something that would doubt my initial impression of him. And truth be told, my thoughts on Victor Everyday for the past few months, I've had growing anxiety because of this book. J.A. Redmerski did not release pretty much anything, until last week she decided to pull a Beyoncé and drop the book. I had to prepare myself emotionally and mentally, since I knew this book was probably going to blow my mind. The fact that we finally ( finally! ) have a book about Victor means that there would probably something that would doubt my initial impression of him. And truth be told, my thoughts on Victor drastically changed due to this book. This is my favorite series in existence, just because it's beautifully written, it's action-packed, it's bad ass, and sexy as hell. I'm so excited to see where this series goes, especially how each character will fall into place later on. Despite the events in this book, I am still Team Izzy and Niklas. I journey on with that ship even in my grave.

J.A. Redmerski is such an amazing writer, I'll never get enough of her shit. She's diverse, and it's like she's had first hand experience in every story she's written, even though some are quite impossible to be in. I don't know how she does it, but she never fails to impress me, nor does she fail to exceed my expectations. 5 well deserved stars. Same goes for the rest of the series, I'm giving it 5 stars right now. If you haven't read In the Company of Killers, I suggest you do. This series is just too damn underrated. ...more

This one I didn't love so much. The story was just flat and blah. There were so many better and interesting ways to tell this plotline; opportunity lost!! We needed some more basic case solving before jumping into heavy stuff. I guess the best thing that came out of this is that Sarai in now, finally, a certifiable badass!!! ...more
