I loved this. I am not the biggest fan of Young Adult novels but this grabbed me from the start. The characters are very well developed and intriguing. The plot and the writing kept me wanting more and I have just ordered the next two in the series.

"A Court of Thorns and Roses" by Sarah J. Maas presents an intriguing blend of fantasy and romance, yet it leaves much to be desired in terms of world-building and character decisions.

One of the aspects I truly appreciated was the family dynamic between Feyre and her father and sisters. The early interactions among them provided a strong emotional foundation and added depth to Feyre's character. It’s a pity that this dynamic wasn’t explored further as the story progressed. Going into this book I already knew about some of the plot and characters, but I was still surprised by a lot of things that happened. Maas does a really great job writing about emotions, inner turmoil and relationship drama. The first few chapters were a bit slow for me because there was a lot of world building and characters naturally unfolding. It wasn't forced, but I was ready for the action to start quickly.
