This story is a well written, powerful example that not everything can be as it seems and that every one of us is capable of accomplishing something great if we only put our minds to it. It, in my opinions, teaches children about perseverance and to try one’s best at all times. The characters are easy for a young child to relate to, as well as for an adult to grasp onto and see the merits of the characteristics of that individual. And yet, people still find fault in it. I'm writing this review a few months later, and I have to say, I'm surprised I still have the HP books on my mind. Many times I've typed on Google "harry potter similar books" and, of course, I haven't found anything like it yet, and I doubt I will. Perhaps there are many great books out there, but the huge fandom revolving around the HP books and movies make it a fascinating book and world. This is my no. 1 escapist book series. I resisted this series for YEARS because I had a tons of teacher friends in school and they never stopped talking about it. Then, my wife got me to read the 6th book with her before the movie came out and I immediately went back and read them all, start to finish in an embarrassingly short amount of time.
