What Members Thought

I don't see how it would be possible for me to give this less than full stars. Not only did it launch a genre of books, but it really is that well done, at least for me. And the full cast narration on Audible is fantastic (I read along with the narration). It's been years since I first read this and it's every bit as creepy the second time around. A lot of thoughts and no time to elaborate on them right now, so let me just boil it down to the basics.
1.) I appreciate reading any vampire story where the vampires are not simply humans with fangs (i.e. falling in a very humanlike version of love, i.e. Vampire Bill and Robert Pattinson), but sanguinary creatures who prey relentlessly on human energy. And what more should one expect from the Mother of All Vampire Stories?
2.) I do not so much appreciate reading:
a.) Nonsensical dialects from ...more
