What Members Thought
It took me a very long time to get into this book, more than halfway, before I could read more than a couple of chapters at a time. I did end up finishing the book and gave it 3-stars. I don't read a lot of fantasy so keep that in mind. The lesson in accepting people that are different from yourself was done well. I also liked the grayness of Linus's life at work and home and then the color that appeared in his world as he came alive at the orphanage.

This was a good book with interesting magical characters!
Absolutely delightful!

This was so lovely and the narrator on the audio added to the delight. It reminded me a bit of Ms Peregrine’s Peculiar Children but less creepy and more sentimental.
This book hit me right in the feels. Wonderful story, wonderful characters.
